OUR STORY

On November 18, 1936 one of greatest men I’ve ever known entered into this world. He was born at home in Scrub Creek, Trinity County, Texas, barely weighing 5 pounds. Growing up, people said he wasn’t any bigger than a buckshot bullet. The nickname stuck and was shortened to Buck. As he got older, everyone knew him as Joe “Buck” Clark. For 70 great years he was on this Earth, he met lots of people and influenced many. A few things I always remember him saying to me was, always do your best and be kind to people. Our little coffee shop in Hudson, TX is named in his honor. If you knew my dad at all, you know one of his most favorite things in the world was good, strong, hot black coffee! We hope you come by and visit us. And if you have a good story to share, we’d love to hear it!
